I had the same issue with it not being able to install the new profile because access was "locked". Validating a device w/ the same calibrator you used to calibrate is mostly a meaningless exercise. The profile it creates is 99% useless and a placeholder. It might be that the new one did not overwrite the old one because it was created by a different version, or assumed it was a fresh install. #Spectraview 2 serial how to#But if not, I know how to activate the latest. I saw I had two ICC profiles, one from July. You can do a validate calibration which is much faster than a full cal and when I ran it, it said cal was not required.Ģ. Spectraview has never prompted for a S/N and I cannot fine a place to enter it. The online method to change or get into system admin don't work. One, I need to get administration rights, or Spectraview needs the S/N entered. The new Spectraview is definitely different and has a different look while it is running. I also checked for driver updates on the video card, it was latest. I will try one more cal but it takes 20 minutes or so and I have other stuff to do. I deleted my old target file, I think it was conflicting with my new one. I rebooted and it came up fine and looks good. I recalibrated and got an error, something was locked. It then seemed to select an older cal file and my white screen had a pink cast. After cal, it asked some strange questions and I clicked the box "calibration on" it was not on. Be sure to write down your target settings because it will need to create a new target with a new name. Then it installed and I was able to run a calibration. I navigated to the download page for Spectraview and did a download. I opened the Spectraview dialog and under help found a web page at NEC. Reboot did not fix the Spectraview issue. When you click add, it takes you to the profile folder and you select the profile. Same as older systems under display settings>advanced>display adaptor>color management. I will open Qimage and see where the profiles are buried. But after a year or so, you forget where in the system they are located. I think I have to add this to color management. I am also going to find where the cal files are located. It seems to be recognizing it now, but if it is not plugged in, Spectraview does not open. My xrite device was not plugged in when the program initialized. I also did a Web search and was not able to find any compatibility issues.īefore I find the DVD, or search for a NRC download, has anyone else seen this? I may try a reboot first. I got one brief message to re-install Spectraview. So far the only issue is that Spectraview is not working. Windows 10 just installed last night and I have been using it.
